Meat eating plants are specially adapted to the environment. They are commonly found in poor soil, so they can't get the nutrients they need. They have adapted, over
millions of years to the poor soil they live in. These specially adapted plants trap and digest small creatures and get the nutrients they can't get from the soil from the creatures.
