Conifers, referred to as gymnosperms, are trees whose leaves stay green year around; its seeds are not enclosed. Most of the deciduous trees, also known as angiosperms, have leaves that change color and die in the autumn; there are a few exceptions such as magnolia trees. Angiosperms also have enclosed seeds.
