Carnivorous plants are meat eaters; they trap insects or even small frogs for dinner in a variety of ways. Some carnivorous plants suck in small insects using a trap door; some feed on insects that get trapped on sticky leaves; others, like the pitcher plants, have hair-like growth on its walls to prevent anything from getting out.
